Walk-In Policy
Sugi Psychiatry and Wellness DOES NOT offer emergency services. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please go to the nearest emergency room.
Sugi Psychiatry and Wellness offers walk-in hours Monday through Friday from 9AM - 11AM at our Reno clinic, located at 10395 Double R Blvd. Patients arriving outside of clinic walk-in hours will be referred to outside services or asked to come back during scheduled walk-in hours. This policy is not a guarantee of treatment, however Sugi staff will do its best to accommodate patients who arrive within the walk-in window.
Appointment Late Cancellation/No-Show Fee
When you schedule an appointment with Sugi Psychiatry and Wellness, we set aside enough time to provide you with the highest quality care. We ask that you give at least 48 hours notice if you cannot make an appointment, allowing us to schedule in emergency appointments. All appointments not cancelled more than 48 hours prior to your scheduled time will be charged a no-show fee of $150 (subject to change). This fee is non-payable by insurance, and is the responsibility of the patient. No-show fees must be paid before we can schedule a future appointment for you.
Medication Refill Requests
We process all complete and appropriate refill requests within 3 business days of receipt of the request in our office, not including weekends or holidays. It is your responsibility to SEND A REFILL REQUEST THROUGH YOUR PATIENT PORTAL ACCOUNT several days prior to running out of refills as we do not want you to run out of medications. All accounts must be up to date to make refill requests.
Prior Authorizations
If your insurance company requires a prior authorization for your medication, it may take them several days to respond to our request. After we submit a request we cannot hasten the process.
Controlled Substances Drug Testing
At Sugi, ensuring patient safety is the gold standard when it comes to prescribing any controlled medications. We implement monthly drug screening/breathalyzer testing for all patients who are prescribed a controlled medication (C2-5). Note: We DO NOT screen for THC. Testing is conveniently done in-house at each follow-up appointment. All test results are HIPAA protected, meaning NO ONE besides you and your provider will see the results. More information is available in our Controlled Substances Agreement, which you will sign as part of your commitment to harm-reduction.
